Privacy notice

This instance helps two invited household members track their personal and shared finances. It is not a public service. The household operator is Axel Mylle. For privacy questions, contact axelmylle@gmail.com.

Data and purpose

Sure stores account profiles, names, email addresses, password hashes, session information, and financial records that household members enter or import. Financial records can include bank account details, balances, transactions, merchants, categories, tags, notes, and uploaded files. Sure uses this information to show spending, balances, reports, and account activity. Technical records can include IP addresses, browser information, job status, and errors.

Bank connections and other services

Bank connections are optional. When a member authorizes Enable Banking, that provider accesses the selected bank accounts and passes account information to this instance. The member completes authentication and consent with the bank. This setup uses account-information access. It does not initiate payments or transfers.

Enable Banking and the banks apply their own privacy notices and consent rules. See Enable Banking's privacy notice. Members can revoke consent through their bank or Enable Banking and remove the connection in Sure.

Exchange-rate queries use Frankfurter. Market-price features can use Yahoo Finance. These queries concern currencies or securities. AI categorization uses Upgreat, as selected by the household administrator. Sure sends the selected transactions' amounts, descriptions, notes, merchant names, and category names to Upgreat to request category suggestions. Upgreat processes those requests outside this VPS and applies its own terms. Bank login credentials are not part of the categorization request. Review AI categories because they can be incorrect. The administrator can disable the AI rule in Sure. The bundled PostHog feedback collection is disabled on this instance.

Household access

The household currently shares accounts with both members by default. Personal and Shared tags classify transactions. Tags do not restrict access. Account owners can change supported account-sharing settings. A server administrator can access the database and backups, including data that the application marks private. Use this instance only if both members accept this access.

Storage and security

The application runs on an existing Faastic VPS. HTTPS protects browser connections. Sure encrypts its supported sensitive fields with application encryption keys. Passwords use password hashes. The database, uploaded files, and local backups are not a fully encrypted disk system. Access to the server and backup files requires administrative credentials. Faastic operates the hosting infrastructure.

Retention and deletion

Financial data remains until a household member or administrator deletes it. Operational logs rotate. Daily local backups normally retain the last seven days. Deleted data can remain in those backups until they expire. Off-server backups are not configured. Contact the household operator to request access, correction, export, or deletion. Bank records remain under the bank's own retention rules.

Cookies

Sure uses session and security cookies to support sign-in and protect requests. Cookies are required for the application to work.
